Only difference is side 2 etched with PBL-35709-1G. Actually, dynamic range is not bad, but the sound is just sort of muddy - not balanced like my earlier LPs from Elvis Costello (Columbia/CBS). Side 1 has -1D and 1T.

I do n’t know if this is a mistake made by the previous editor or if the one I got is another version.I only know that the print quality and information of this CD I got is not like piracy Log in ; Register; Gallery Elvis Costello & The Attractions Armed Forces Album Cover Art. The album had the working title Emotional Fascism. I have this Terre Haute pressing with the promo EP. The album had the working title Emotional Fascism. Songs from this album always sound great on the radio. Prod. However it holds its own in a Costello’s stunning run of albums with the Attractions. The LP itself was covered in small, white dust and paper particles. Shortly after recording it, he formed the Attractions as his backing band. At the time this was unfairly the subject of a bit of a critical backlash after Costello’s first two albums and initial singles had been lauded in the music press. Armed Forces is Elvis Costello's third album, his second with the Attractions, and the first to officially credit the Attractions on the cover.

It was released in the UK by Radar Records and in the USA by Columbia in 1979.

Many initial pressings of the album included a promotional three-song single, Live at Hollywood High, which was recorded on 4 … Inner-sleeve with pictures on both sides and the tracklisting. 8 12 36. The inside of the fold-out cover is action-painted.


However, most of the time there's the one with E.C & The attractions and the album title written in sloppy red, blue and yellow paint (which looks much cooler than the elephant one). The musical arrangements and particularly Naive’s keyboards are remarkable.

I didn't bother listening critically.

This version is very similar to the other two versions, and even the IFPI code differs by only one digit. Dark light. Everyone should have a copy in their collection.

Costello clearly demonstrates his mastery of the 3 minute radio ready song. Less hot under the collar than This Year's Model, Armed Forces was partly inspired by Elvis Costello and the Attractions' 1978 American tour. It was released in the UK by Radar Records and in the USA by Columbia in 1979.
