COLLEGE STATION – The Southeastern Conference plans to test its football players and staff at least twice weekly for COVID-19 during the season, usually six days and three days before a game, the league announced on Friday.A league task force also recommends a potential third test during the week, with the start of games still set for Sept. 26 with the SEC only playing fellow league members this season.

The conference said “various scheduling models” for the season are still under consideration, so it is not immediately known when MWC play will begin.Acknowledging the possibility of regular season games being rescheduled, both conferences will be flexible with their football championship games.
