The year I taped this, and every year since they have watched it over again, rewinding certain parts to see them played backwards. Kenan and Kel: two best friends who live in Chicago are always dragged down by Kenan's yet rich quick schemes while orange soda-loving buddy Kel is dragged along but tends to mess things up. Pee-Wee Herman throws a Christmas party at his playhouse with his friends and some celebrity guests. A poor otter family risks everything for the chance to win the cash prize of a talent contest for Christmas. Pee-wee with Annette Funicello and the King of Cartoons.As the special continues, various characters from the show as well as various celebrity guest stars stop by to visit Pee-wee - for instance, Cowntess the Cow arrives with pal Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Magic Screen's cousin Magic Johnson makes an appearance, and Jewish neighbor Mrs. Rene gives a short lesson on Hanukkah and the dreidel. Will Pee-wee follow his own advice and help others? The Christmas special has the same kitchy, glitzy sets and props of the Saturday morning show with all the regular characters as well as several great drop-ins. Pee-wee's Playhouse Christmas Special is a Christmas television special based on the American Saturday-morning children's program Pee-wee's Playhouse. Garfield, Jon, and Odie go to Jon's grandmother's house for Christmas, where Garfield finds a present for Grandma. When eccentric man-child Pee-wee Herman gets his beloved bike stolen in broad daylight, he sets out across the U.S. on the adventure of his life. This was hilarious to them. One in a long-running series of game shows, where two-member teams of children compete to answer questions and complete stunts.
Are people still so hung up on that minor picadillo that future audiences will be deprived of ever seeing this truly entertaining, good natured Christmas special? My youngest was born in '87 and I'm pretty certain she was older than 1 when we first saw it. There is even a touching moment when Pee Wee explains the true meaning of Christmas with the aid of an old educational film of children performing a Nativity pageant. My copy is old and deteriorating.

lang, the Del Rubio Triplettes and Charo! Fred is cast as Ebenezer Scrooge in a stage adaption of the story, but is acting a bit stingy in real-life. lang performing a frenetic "Jingle Bell Rock" and Charo singing "Feliz Navidad". At the end of the special, Santa arrives and informs Pee-wee that since his list was so large, there wasn't room on the sleigh for any presents for the other kids of the world.
