Around 100 balls have been made with this and the winder I also purchased. More solid than I thought it would be and coupled with the Stanwood Needlecraft ...Ball Winder, it's great!! The finish on the wooden slats is so smooth, the yarn never catches or snags on it. 2 Stanwood Needlecraft Large Metal Yarn Ball Winder. The Medium size can hold skeins up to 6-ft in circumference. First time out of the box, the wood screw that secures the swift to the work surface didn’t reach high enough to grab the table. This makes winding my yarn so much easier!
