I was riding high off multi-platinum sales off I Am…, and just didn’t want to do anything but freestyle that single and put it out. Nastradamus was an atrocity, I’m listening to it as I am typing this, as I am going through Nas’s entire discography today(Including Nigger Tape, Firm shit, etc) so it’s fresh on the brain, and it’s just not good.I thought Encore wasn’t that bad. Even though the first half of the year has been mild at best we still have I could let a slug melt in your hat After dropping I Am… in April 1999, Nas came right back with Nastradamus seven months later. At the time, my brother Jungle was managing Noriega and Nature and he was getting a lot of beats from guys that were just blasting in the business, like Dame Grease and Swizz Beatz, and those beats was ahead of their time and I didn’t understand them that well. Kool Keith’s solo debut, underground classic. The song was a EPMD sample and I just freestyled it.
We’re committed to doing better for Black communities. From all of my music enjoying friends, there is only one of them who seems to enjoy Lil Pump and his I can agree there is a gang up mantality with a lot of things.Yeah it’s known that when you have your debut album great then drop a random good album they say you fell off.
It’s not a bad album at all in my opinion, could have used better production, got boring but overall pretty good album in my opinion.Like 80% of the people who say that’s its a horrible album here never even heard it. If you are a real fan you would know, i guess people try to show people that they are knowledgeable about Hip Hop like they listened to every Hip Hop album. Nastradamus From there on, a bunch of people basically just say it because they heard other people say it. Actually, “Project Window” is a favorite Nas song. #tldr: this album isnt as bad as u think, but it sounds lazily put together, with very filler beats. let me know what you think new music out now!!!!
